OmHCP Om Hosting Control Panel is back

Hey Friends,

     I stopped looking on this project when i found that dotnetpanel is available free , but again i found it bad & complicated,just waste of time for me , So I decided to continue my project & let big players  know that we will not use Ugly ,Resource hungry tools which they provide.

I am in need of some vps (low config will work)  2003,2008,2008 R2 for testing.

Finally I found A Great Spyware Remover Which uses clam anti virus to give real time on access scan.

http://www.spywareterminator.com Its Free Only take little Memory ,You need to activate clam av it download clamav online & install its scan engine.

Its gives good protection how ever lacks of some report.

Cant scan zip files but catch virus while u extract them.

buts its 100% free :)

I love it due to its very low memory usage however I disabled automatic update because its take more memory.

Some Common Errors

Dear Om Users





If installer Freezes while "Creating user" Then Try Fallowing Instruction:




Please Check the Administrator -> "Local security Policy" & "Domain Controller security Policy(If Server is domain controller)" setting for password make it simple or Provide complex password while you install OM.

If it not work then contact me to Through Source-forge & provide access to me thru rdp.

Running OM-HCP In Windows 2008 64 Bit

Hello Friends

    Today I tested Control panel In windows 2008 64 Bit

     It Throws a error that Or just show a blank page if ASP ->send error to browser is not True

ADODB.Connection error '800a0e7a'
Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.

This Is due to Application pool running in 64 bit.

You need to set Apppool To Run on 32 Bit

Go To IIS Select -> Om_pool -> Advanced Settings->Genral - > Enable 32 Bit Appalications Set it true.

2003 Virus Problem " Administrator access denied

Project Status

IIS6 & 7 - Working Fine

FTP - Working Fine

Mail - Working Fine

Today I encounter Virus Problem in my test server (My youger brother used it & now windows 2003 infected with wirus named altcmd)

altcmd.dll Program Files\altcmd


altcmd is trojan mcafee is unble to detect it (I m not sure becuase Mcafee is also not working fine)

Mcafee shows that its scanner is on but its not on when i refresh it so i think may be it can detect but cant say.

however its work is to disable antivirus etc & hide the access of control panel & mycomputer properties & GPO & Domain & local Secuirty policies .

It also diable to change the properties of services like change start manual/auto & use account etc.

after removing it Domain & local Secuirty policies are restored but i m unable to access control panel etc it give message access denied For Saying That I logged from remote computer .

Even Mcafee Console Also Give same type of error that i m not logged as console user.

After deleing altcmd I browsed to gpedit.msc > user configuration > administrative templates > control panel

All Things are not configured so i disabled them & i m again able to access mycomputer properties & control panel etc .

well I cant make fully Free Software.

4 Thing are really need to buy (I m Buying Developer License expect for mail system )

because all are developer License So it only take one time fees then i can redistribute it .

One For Mail server

One For FTP Server

One For DNS Server.

Last One I forgot.

Why I m Going To Buy & Why dont i get Open source version ?

I searched Open Source Tools but They are not advance to compete with plesk.

The Main Aim Of this Project is To Provide Low Cost or Free Control Panel For Hosting Companies / Individuals .

they are Providing software at one time fees so i Decieded To Buy them.

However I have not purchased them till now , So any one good in asp+Ajax & mail server tech please contact me aspa

Please Remember : We Are Going To Compete With Plesk & Cpnael So We must Provide the Features which they are giving.

So How Much it costs as my calculation u need to pay $1 per month or $5 max with mail Extended feature.

Its upto you u can have control panel for free but if u want more feature u need to invest some

How ever if some one donate them for community then it costs nothing.

Multiple Remote Desktop Per User in windows 2008 server or vista server

Hi

Thats the funniest problem

I have to give admin access to other user too. But when he logged in i logged off automatically so

after some finding i m able to alow multiple session per user by changing "Restrict Each User To a Single Session " to No

But it create problem he is doing java testing & multiple session is not supported by the application he is using & give unexpected errors .

after some research we finally understand this problem now I forgot that from where i allowed multiple connection . and after checking all GPO [U can also change setting from SPO but it wont work , I dont know why MS put that property which dont work] & local security etc for 5 days.

I googled but again no solution :(

FYI : I googled means I searched google , yahoo & msn .

However Finally I Hit again to administrative tool & changed the setting.

Start => administrative tool-> Terminal Services -> Terminal Services Configuration -> Edit Setting -> Restrict Each User To a Single Session

PHP activityTimeout Error In Windows 2008

Hi

First Problem is Php . I found that php is not running for long periods.

it end after 1 min & give activitytimeout error in IIS7.

After goggling i only found the patch for pre release of windows 2008 & i got newer version of windows 2008 for testing from hosting company so that trick dont work for me :(


but after spending 5 days I thought i should search metabase directly but in iis7 metabase is known as IIS_schema.xml & applicationhost.config.

In Google i found that u need to put some fastsgi xml in config dir {Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\schema}

But it wont work.

Then i open & edited applicationhost.config

From
<fastCgi>

<application fullPath="C:\php\php-cgi.exe" />

</fastCgi>

To
<fastCgi>

<application fullPath="C:\php\php-cgi.exe" activityTimeout="3600" />

</fastCgi>

My luck that i know xml & html so after some error it finally start working.

But It mac setting is 1 Hour Only .

Anyone know How to remove 1 hour Limit ????? Please Post here

I m Creator Of https://sourceforge.net/projects/windowscontrolp/. Windows Control Panel

While Doing Project I encounters lots of problem & I forgot how i solved them

So Now I m Starting Blog so that I can remember & it also Help as a guideline to other developer .

Why Control Panel ?

#1 . Because No Control Panel is satisfying my needs , I Need Low Cost Server Solution But Major Companies need u to buy mail server & ftp server which cost lots of $$$.

#2. Lots Of Other open source Control Panel are dead .

#3. Windows Control panels are not good like cpanel .

Target : Provide a Hosting Control Panel That Works On Windows & require very little or no Investment.

I m Targeting on functions even i have to pay for some.
